Areas of Practice
Assessment
To identify the causes of challenging behaviors in children or adolescents on the autism spectrum, we use language and behavior assessments. This well-established approach has been demonstrated effective by empirical research and extensive experience. Based on the information from these assessments, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will select appropriate interventions and design an individualized treatment plan that works for both your child and your schedule.
Consultation
We conduct comprehensive behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior plans to help parents, caregivers, educators and many more address challenging behaviors which may include aggression, tantrums, self-injury, non-compliance, etc. We provide training and ongoing behavior consultation as needed which will include problem solving, collaboration, and progress updates.
Center-based applied behavior analysis
Meaningful Outcomes ABA center treats children diagnosed with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities. Children participate in a treatment program using principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). Our Center-Based ABA Program is based on scientific principles of learning and creates an atmosphere to promote positive behavior change. With a focus on motivation, reinforcement, and evidence-based practices. Treatment plans are developed to facilitate learning based on the individualized need of each child using individualized treatment plans and 1:1 instruction.
Home-based therapeutic services
The Home-Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS) Program provides intensive home and community services to children up to age 21 with severe behavioral health, developmental or physical disabilities. Services include Pre and Post Treatments, Intensive Specialized Treatment and Treatment Support. An individualized treatment plan will be developed based on the client’s needs to help improve communication, behavioral, psychosocial and developmental skills.
Personal Assistance Services and supports
The Personal Assistance Services and Supports (PASS) Program PASS is a family-directed service provided in the home and/or community setting. The family sets the goals with recommendation and guidance from a clinical consultant. The service plan is developed to facilitate the client’s ability to become more independent in day to day activities, to self-regulate and maintain safety and to increase social skills to interact with family and peers.
Applied behavior analysis
The Applied Behavior Analysis Program provides intensive, 1:1, home-based services to those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder between the ages of 3 and 21. This approach utilizes principles of reinforcement, to increase skills that are functional and socially significant throughout the child’s daily life within the home. Using individualized treatment plans, 1:1 instruction, and evidence-based practice, we teach our kids that learning is fun!
parent training
Parent involvement is crucial for a successful HBTS-ABA program. Our goal is to shape up clients' behaviors, and simultaneously teach parents to utilize principles of ABA in the home to ensure that skills and behaviors are generalized. As such, parents are required to receive an in home training once every month. The training program track begins with a training session during which the parent and BCBA discuss basic behavioral principles including reinforcement and functions of behaviors, to name a few. Trainings that follow continue to build on this knowledge.
