Meaningful Outcomes staff are required to complete annual HIPAA Privacy and Security refresher training. This training provides an overview of employee responsibilities for protecting Protected Health Information (PHI) and electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) and reinforces Meaningful Outcomes' privacy, confidentiality, and information security requirements.
The training reviews appropriate use and disclosure of PHI, safeguarding client information, minimum necessary access, electronic communications and devices, confidentiality, and the identification and reporting of suspected privacy or security incidents.

Employees may be required to provide documentation demonstrating completion of required HIPAA training.
Suspected or actual privacy or security incidents must be reported promptly in accordance with Meaningful Outcomes policies and procedures.

Have reviewed the Meaningful Outcomes HIPAA Privacy & Security Annual Refresher Training in full.
Understand their responsibility to protect the privacy, confidentiality, and security of PHI and ePHI.
Understand that PHI may only be accessed, used, or disclosed as permitted by Meaningful Outcomes policies, job responsibilities, and applicable law.
Understand their responsibility to follow Meaningful Outcomes requirements regarding electronic communications, devices, passwords, records, and other safeguards used to protect client information.
Understand their responsibility to promptly report suspected or actual privacy or security incidents, including inappropriate disclosures, unauthorized access, lost or stolen devices, or other potential compromises of PHI.
Will comply with Meaningful Outcomes' HIPAA, confidentiality, privacy, and information security policies and procedures.
Will educate and reinforce applicable privacy and security requirements among any staff they supervise or oversee.
